Second time I’ve joined in with this. Hoping to be braver with colours this year!
(Squares described in order from the bottom up.)
Started fairly safely with toning shades of turquoise and green for Frost Flower. Branched out a bit with the second square - Sage Advice. I think those citrus shades show off this lovely pattern really well.
More adventurous with Awaken but it had to be carefully planned - still no good with ‘random’!! I love this colour scheme so much I’m tempted to carry on with it and remake the other two… so much for my stash-busting plans!
Just finished Hestia. Another beauty. Yep, definitely keeping to this colour palette. Filled in the more open parts with extra stitches as I prefer a solid texture.
Second version of Frost Flower - looks totally different! Still love the first one - I see a bag or a cushion in its future. Ditto with Sage Advice.- another complete change of appearance.
Just as a filler I made another Helen’s Flower from Loewenzahm in my 2024 colours - love it!! Thank you Sandra .
All really gorgeous designs.
Sneaked in another Jackfield square - love seeing how it looks in different colours!
March main (Isobel Grace) is my own - looks so different from my original orange and green palette.
I LOVE the 3D effect on Madux James. A really original design.
Maude is one of Polly Plum’s designs, with some challenging woven corners - it took me some time to remember how to do these but I cracked it in the end, then decided I preferred the non-woven version! Oh well… it’s a fantastic design.
Cecilia is a lovely 6” square which didn’t come out quite the right size for what I wanted so I modified it a bit.
(Changed my mind about adding the block of 6” squares so will use it for something else.)
Embarrassed to admit I can’t remember where I found the square in the fourth pic down - somewhere in the group archives I think. Very grateful for any help identifying it so I can give it well-deserved credit!
Decided to stick at 12 squares and make a pretty throw with a matching border. I love borders .
Very happy with the result .
Mystery solved - it’s Sally by Polly Plum. Thank you Lynne!
