I must have started this project 5 times now. It is for my grand daughter who is a size 8 so I thought the small size would be perfect. I started out with a 4.5mm hook, as I don’t have a 4.25. The back was ridiculously small so I changed up to a 5mm but it was still very small. I’ve ended up with a 6mm hook and to get the correct circumference I had to use the large size instructions. So no worries there. Also I did the 12 rows for the armhole as per the larger size but the armhole ends up being 12 inches around which is quite tight. I’ve undone it back to the bottom of the armhole and am currently adding another 2 rows to each piece to increase the size of the armhole.
Although this is a gorgeous design and I intend to battle on with it, I find the pattern to be quite unrealistic in regards to sizing.
BTW the yarn I’m using is a perfect sport yarn at 12 wpi.
Error in pattern
There is an error in the the first row of the pineapple pattern. After the first fan and before the last fan, there should be skip 3 sts instead of skip 2.

There is an error in the pattern in the 2nd row of the pineapple on the sleeve. I was able to sort it out by following the photo.
I’ve found this pattern, although very pretty, quite frustrating to work, as the sizing is very different to what the pattern specifies, and the pattern itself has many errors.
I’ve had to order 2 more balls of yarn, which I hope will be sufficient.
I won’t be making this again, and can’t recommend it.
