New cast on
The yarn I am using is Drops Lima, held together with Drops Kid Silks.
I knitted the body and the cuffs of this cardigan, then decided to make the sleeves from cotton fabric. The cardigan is fully lined and functions as a light jacket now. The buttons are mother of pearl. I really love the outcome of this mixed media cardigan. It reminds me of a Bomber Jacket or Baseball Jacket. At the very last I sewed some lace on the sleeves as well. The pockets are fake pockets. There is just a placket. I placed a wooden button on each of the plackets. There is also a small lace band on the neckline.
