I love this version of a neckline/ colar. The brooch is a present from my uncle Charly. She is a historical replica of an early Alamanni (germanic) brooch.

Hem on jumper as well as on the sleeves are worked in a double moss stitch. The sides of the jumper have a single moss stitch element.

Making progress on my new design, the "Galadriel Jumper". Thick, rustic jumper, with a medieval inspired hood. I also use crochet borders a lot in my designs, mixing different techniques and /or materials to construct clothing and accessoires. I like to look at my creations as unique pieces of textile and fiber art "sculptures". The process of giving birth to a new idea becomes an adventure of the senses, while "playing" and experimenting with matter.

Notes

Using a rustic and natural sheep wool I bought of an Ebay store. The wool is from Rumania.
I combine it with a fine strand of blue mohair, also an Ebay find and on a cone.
Making a pattern up as I go, with a bulkier shape in mind, 2 small front pockets and a shawl collar.
It will be an outdoor sweater, because it is thick and warm. The colour combination reminds me of the bright and silvery January light, an Ice Queen or Galadriel, a character out of the “Lord of the Rings”.
This is also what inspired the name of this project.
