Perfect use of leftover speckled yarn!

This was my second time trying toe-up. The first time was probably 15 years ago when I didn’t have nearly as much experience and the toe was loose, ugly, and too big, so I gave up and switched to top-down. Well, I wanted to use up every inch of this yarn, so I tried toe-up again! The toe looks perfect, but I’m not crazy about the short row heel, so I think I’ll try German short rows next time and see if I like that better.
