I used a C hook for most of the motifs, but since this yarn is so big, it did not lend itself to using 2 strands for the back leg motifs. Instead I changed to a E hook using a single strand. I used a B hook and 2 strands of Aunt Lydia’s metallic gold crochet thread (#10) for the crown. He turned out really big, but I still think the results are “princely”!
