I made Big Grey early last year, then got side tracked into making his slightly smaller Cousin Big Orange Elephant from Hoooked Ribbon XL. I put him away because the t- shirt yarn I used to knit him, came in unpredictable bobbin sizes- always the same weight but the yarn was sometimes thin and sometimes very thick. So the yardage changed! not very helpful when you are buying it for a pattern. Since then the bobbins have changed and they now have a minimum yardage (120m), so hooray for Big Grey Elephant- he gets to leave the WIP box !!!
