I like Anne’s discription very much, it’s my first time mitten-knitting. But DaughterDear wanted the fingers closed, so I made some adjustments. And even for my 40+ eyes, no problems knitting into the night with these colors.

My mittens are done, but ‘pow’ (the first one) turned out less fine than ‘bam’ (second one). I used 2 yellow balls of wool and one green. Maybe there is a beany still in it.

Anne’s pattern provided as an extra a ‘pew’ pattern, so maybe something for a hat.

Next time I use this pattern, I’ll use more contrasting colors, so the word will be more easy to read.
