Our art exchange group is participating in a doll swap! This is my first hand knit doll!

Mirabelle is knitted with wool, and then felted. I dyed all of the colored yarn myself. It was added with a felting needle. I also used the felting needle to give more definition and contour to her face, jawline, and neck (you can really tell in the first few pics versues the fourth and fifth). Additionally, I used the needle to give her wrist, elbow, knee and ankle joints.

I just made up the pattern for her vest and skirt (she’s wearing it, it’s just short).

This is probably my most favorite thing I have ever knitted! Ever!! She turned out so beautiful; more amazing than I imagined! I cannot wait to send her off to meet her new family!!!
