I knit this for my daughter before she was born in December 1980. I used to work in a store in NYC called the Camel on W57 St. I purchased the buttons at Tender Buttons. When I was laying out the piece to place the buttons, Art Garfunkel came in to purchase some buttons and admired my knitting. Now my grandchildren wear it!
