Once again, I chained 29 and crocheted until I was nearly out of yarn (just the one skein), then crocheted the ends together in a flat loop (not twisted) as-you-go.

Example: I chained three for the attaching row (just like I was doing another regular row, in pattern), made 2 dc, then I placed my hook between two of the posts from the row of the opposite end I was attaching it to, pulled up a loop, then continued to make my other 2dc for the beginning cluster of the attaching row. For the next cluster, I made 3dc of the 5 called for in the next shell, placed my hook between dc3 and 4 of the corresponding 5dc shell of the opposite end, drew up a loop, and continued to make the remaining 2dc of my new cluster in the attaching row. I continued on like that til the last 3dc ending shell. For that, I did 1 dc in my attaching row, placed my hook in between the middle of the dcs in the opposite end row, drew up a loop, and continued making my last 2dc in the attaching row. I hope this makes sense without pictures. Next one, I’ll try to remember to take a few shots of the process, just in case.
