My original intention was to make the girls’ ruffled version, but it just looked like a boy so I switched to the corded version. The pattern calls for a long cord that wraps around the back of the sweater on the outside, but I didn’t like the idea of tying something all the way around a baby. I did thin i-cords on the edge and seam for the inside tie, then did thicker i-cords on the front edge and seam on the outside tie.
