I couldn’t resist this little dress even though I don’t have a recipient in mind at the moment. The yarn has a nice weight for a cotton dress, although it was very splitty. The pattern is extremely confusing, and I would recommend the designer’s advice to read the entire instructions before beginning this dress. I also recommend reading notes from other Ravelry members who have made the Clara dress. Invaluable information. As many others did, I used ssk whenever the pattern called for knit two together through the back loop. I also used Knit4Smiles suggestion (and instructions) to make the back opening longer. When she says to make the split on round 6, she really means the 6th row above the seed stitch waist. On the pattern, the 6th row is Pattern Round 4. Like others, I also did the Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off for the neck to help get the dress over baby’s head. Now that I’ve got the hang of it, I would definitely make this again. So sweet.
