Notes

Made this with finished edges. Here’s a video demonstrating the technique.

Modifications:
For cast on, use German Twisted method (to prevent corner from curling).

Rows 1-3 (1st st only): slip as to p

For a more invisible increase--
Substitute kfb with a ’lifted increase’.

Row 4: p to last st, k1.

Crochet casing for elastic waistband (a replacement for no circular needles).

I’m really starting to like self-striping yarn. So, after seeing this pattern it inspired me to want to try knitting again, I had to dig out & dust off the needles & taught myself continental knitting (through videos online) to make this skirt.

This is my very first garment knitted completely by hand.
