I love the chevron pattern but prefer a straight hem, so when I saw the Herringbone Box technique from this stitch dictionary I had to design it into a cardigan sweater.

Started with 2 rectangles joined together at center back (bottom 2 pictures), then added 2 more rectangles (twice as long) for front & back shoulder sections. The collar & center front were crocheted as one panel (shaped like a horseshoe) starting at the hem. Added sleeves, worked flat then slip stitched underarm seams.
