I took a couple of patterns I found on line, took what I liked about those patterns and made my own.

• Chain (Ch) 2 does not count as stitch.
• I used the Invisible Slip Stitch Join to prevent the seam from forming.

Ch 4, slip stitch to form ring
Rnd 1 : Ch 2, 12dc into ring (12 dc)
Rnd 2 : Ch 2, 2dc in each stitch (24 dc)
Rnd 3 : Ch 2, dc in next st, 2dc in same stitch (36 dc)
Rnd 4 : Ch 2, dc in next 2 sts, 2dc next stitch (48 dc)
Rnd 5 : Ch 2, dc in next 3 sts, 2dc next stitch (60 dc)
Rnd 6 : Ch 2, dc next 2 sts, 2dc next stitch, dc in next 4 sts, 2dc next stitch
Repeat ** until 2 sts left – dc in each.(72 dc)
Rnd 7 : Ch 2, dc in next 5 sts, 2dc next stitch (84 dc)
Rnd 8 : Ch 2, dc next 3 sts, 2dc next stitch, dc in next 6 sts, 2dc next stitch

Rnd 31 : I did a slip stitch for the last round. Could do a Crab Stitch instead.
I got as far as Rnd 30 but have to wait for wire to come from Amazon to add to brim so I will put project to the side until I receive the wire. (Saturday, April 8, 2023).
Received wire today (Tuesday, April 11, 2023) and finished hat.
