I bought a Dollar Tree Wire Basket Oval Bowl - measurements - 7.87x6.85x4.13 in.

I like using these bowls / baskets as yarn bowls / projects. Can use any yarn fiber, color and stitch of my choice and not spend what a yarn bowl costs.

Ch 13
Round 1 :
6dc in 3rd chain from hook (corner), dc to last stitch- 7dc in last stitch to make corner. Dc on opposite side of previous dc stitch to end round. Sl st.

Note : Ch 2 doesn’t count as a stitch.

Round 2 :
Ch 2, 2dc in same stitch, 2dc in the next 5 sts to increase corner, Dc across sides, 2dc in the 7 corner stitches, dc across previous sides, slip stitch.

Round 3 :
Ch 2, 1 dc in same stitch, 2dc next st repeat ** for 19 sts for corner, dc across sides, sl st

Round 4 :
Ch 2, dc in blo around.

Round 5 :
Ch 2, dc around.

Sides of Basket I did the Waffle Stitch but you can use most stitches for this idea like diamond stitch to Extended Moss Stitch.

Waffle -
Round A (RS) :
Ch 2, fpdc in same st to hide ch 2, dc next 2 sts, Fpdc, dc next 2 sts, sl st, turn.

Round B (WS) :
Ch 2, FPdc around the next 2 sts (dc sts previous round), dc top of fpdc previous round, sl st, turn.

Repeat Rounds A & B until you reach height of Basket. For mine it was 9 rounds. I single crochet in each st / hole of Basket to attach cozy to basket.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Diamond Stitch-
Row 1: Sc across.
Row 2: Dc across.
Row 3: Ch 1, Sc into first stitch, into the 4th Sc from 2 rows below – work a Front Post Treble around the Sc, Skip Sc behind Front Post Treble,

1. Sc into next 3 sts,
2. Work around the same leg that was worked in and do a fptr2tog to complete
3. the 1st leg of the fptr2tog,
4. On Sc Row below work 2nd leg around the 4th Sc,
5. Sk Sc behind Treble* Repeat ** across to last 6 sts- Sk Sc behind Treble, Front Post Treble around last leg, Sk Sc behind Treble, Sc in last stitch.
   Row 4: Double Crochet in each stitch across.

Row 5: Ch 1, Starting in first st- Sc in the next 3 sts, 1. Fptr2tog (either instert hook around below post or around Sc), 2. Sk Sc behind post, 3. Sc next 3 sts Repeat ** across to last 3 stitches- Sc in each stitch.
Repeat Rows 2-5 for pattern.

Liner -
Followed bottom basket Rounds 1-3.
Round 4 - dc around
Round 5 - dc blo around
Rounds 6 - 13 (to height of Basket) - Dc around, sl st, Ch 2.
Sc in each hole of Basket to attach liner.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
