Notes

I soooo love knooking this hat that I had to make another one… 3rd Dobby’s hat!
I followed the instructions for small hat, size 15.5. But as I’ve used DK yarns, it does fit an adult head, my head!

Cast on for rib

Crochet cast on
Because I’m knooking this method is easier for non ribbing cast-on section.

Hat 1
December 18th -21st
3mm khook. Copper yarn.
Looking a bit small but it should stretch.
I sooooo love my circular stitch holder.
I’m using 2x Clover 9-16’’

Hat 2
December 21st -23rd
3.5mm khook. Red & white yarn

Hat 3
December 24th- 26th
Variegated pink yarn
3.5mm khook
Because I followed the pattern for small hat I’ve skipped short-row 15 & 16 as instructed.

Hat 4
December 26th- 28th
I used 3.5mm khook throughout.

Hat 5
December 29th- January 2nd
Using 3.5mm khook throughout. Crochet cast on.
Stupid me! Messed up my decrease rounds!!!
Remember 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4,

I’ve skipped the 2nd colour in the middle band, so I did this one in two colours only.

For pompom I used 85mm clover pmaker. The colours are wisteria and white.

Sayings and Phrases

What if Madhatter was Dobby in disguise!
He’s as mad as a hatter!

Hats off to this brilliant kickoff of Weekly Challenge Professor. I wonder if the storylines just come to you at a drop of a hat!

My mother missed having dinner with Lyndon Johnson because she couldn’t find the right hat to wear. While my father went off to the white house to break bread with the President, my mother, who’s not a things and stuff person, stayed at the hotel and tried on 10 different hats and missed dinner.
