On my last birthday (November of last year) my dear friend Rebeca gave the Driftwood pattern to me and even took the time to help me understand it (with Mr. Google’s help). If I remember well, I had put it on my queue a long time before, but then forgot about it because the pattern was available only in Danish.

I immediately fell in love again with this beautiful, somewhat boxy sweater and even bought the yarn for it, but it was only a few months later when I started knitting it.

I love cables and I love lace, therefore it was a real pleasure to complete my Driftwood. Although the pattern requires a bit of concentration, overall I can say that it was easy for me.

I followed the pattern strictly, but added some length to the body and to the sleeves.

After finishing it was still too cool to wear it, and then suddenly too hot (as always), but now it is again cool enough to feel comfortable in it. I hope that I can wear my Driftwood for a few more days before Autumn is over.
