From time to time, I find myself stepping out of my comfort zone and putting my eyes on a design that does not suit my style at all but for one reason or another catches my attention.

This happened to me with the SOLAR Sweater. As soon as I saw the designer talking about it in one of her YouTube podcast episodes, I knew that I had to have it and bought the pattern.

To be on the safe side I wanted to use the same yarn as the designer. It was not easy to find (has it been discontinued?). Finally, I found it in an Italian online shop. There were not many colours to choose from, but I think that I didn’t make a bad choice because I like the result.

Normally I don’t like multicoloured sweaters and avoid them, but this one is a clear exception. Every time I put it on it elevates my mood.

All the patterns that I have bought so far from this designer are very well written and easy to follow even for non-experienced crocheters like me.
