I aimed for unisex style so both males and females would be able to wear my fiber art with pride!

Hats, scarves and ear-warmers are knitted mostly in a make-up-as-I-go patterning while staying within Special Olympics guidelines for size/width/length, etc. Most of the scarves are “mistake rib” pattern with a few created in other stitches (stockinette, garter, seed, lace, etc.). Hats are a mixture of “mistake rib” and stockinette with ribbing --some with a roll-up brim, some more beanie style. Basic ribbed/stockinette stitch for all ear warmers. Lettering on hats and ear-warmers is accomplished with charting each state name (that would fit!) or word in duplicate stitch or knitted in.
