Little Minion went shopping in my stash and BEGGED for a scarf, of course out of a unicorn skein. I told her I didn’t think I had time to do it and hoped she’d forget before the holidays. Which she did. So I had to knit it when she wasn’t around and keep it hidden when she was. Although I didn’t use a pattern, I (very) loosely recalled a previous project I made that DID follow the Rayures pattern. This needed to be narrow to be proportionate to the recipient, and used heavier yarn as a base.

• Provisional CO 48 sts; divided in half for magic loop.
• Worked entire skein in stockinette; quick and easy…yarn did all of the work.
• Left on needles upon gifting so she could decide if she wanted a straight or grafted scarf.
• Grafted ends separately after she got her ‘’surprise.”
• Finished measurements: 4”wide (8” around) by 52” long…perfect size and length for a kiddo!

Sorry to see that this base is no longer available…what a lovely, soft, and beautiful yarn with which to work!
