If you want to truly get to a 30cm neck (!) I suggest you get an 11th ball. My 10th ball only got to 21cm, but that was enough knitting for me!

1. Do not simply measure the side stockinette panels flat. Stockinette stretches more than cabling, so I suggest you pin the panels at the ribbing and hang the pieces upside down to make sure you have the same lengths. Even better, iron the wrong side of your stockinette panels with some steam to estimate how they will be after a proper blocking. Don’t worry, Moordale is VERY sturdy and likes the steam. Cable panel: 163 rows Side panels: 152 rows

2. No reason to make the whole yoke without making sure your panels match, right? I knitted about 6 rows of garter yoke, then sewed the panels up to make sure. Much easier to knit as well, without those panels flapping around.
