I increased the number of stitches for the front pick up band linking the pieces, but it still wasn’t enough to avoid a little hike up in the hem. I kinda like it that way because it adds to the asymmetry of the top. It was far too much work to re-do and frankly I wasn’t sure it would ever be totally flat no matter what I did…. physics!

I love puzzle piece knitting patterns! Looking at the pieces I still have no idea how they will work together

Some changes:

Instead of increasing 2 stitches every other row using thumb cast-on (messy to sew), I M1 every row instead. To make sure that doesn’t make too tight of an edge, I yarn over in the row before the M1.
