Bunzo was my mini-lop house-broken funnybunny that lived a glorious 13 years.

I based this hat on the motif in the Paradoxical mittens, by randomly charting it on my own across 128 sts and 40 rows.

The dimensions of brim, hat and crown are totally based on the free pattern As the Leaves Begin to Fall by Eliza Jarvi.

I CO 96sts on US3 and increased to 128sts on US5 for the stranding. I decreased the recommended needle size because I wanted a fitted hat, not a slouchy hat.

The Angora Haze is incredibly soft and luxurious! No itch at all. I was hoping that the tight stranding would reduce it’s hairiness, as I once had an angora sweater I COULD NOT WEAR for more than an hour because of the flyaway hair. It probably does help, but there is no preventing angora from flying around. The thing that bugs me the most is when a hair falls near your eye. It sticks in your eyelashes and is so hard to find and remove!

I can’t believe this hat used only half a ball or less of each color!

I made pom-poms using a plastic donut shaped maker, and was pretty happy, as I am missing the Vitamin P required to make good pom-poms.
