I think this is a great project for a beginner in crochet -- I swear! See my blog to understand why.

There’s something about a new instruction every crochet round that is just so enjoyable!

People don’t believe this is Red Heart. Well, I don’t believe it either. I sourced yarn for this project for months, always getting cheaper and cheaper once I would calculate the price for ~5000 yards. I found this Red Heart Super Soft at Marden’s (awesome discount store in Maine) for $2.99 for 515yds, woohoo! A part of me was worried to do this much work for acrylic, but this stuff feels rather fabulous. Everyone thinks I used something very special. Shh, don’t tell.

There were, oh, about 500 balls of just this one color at Marden’s -- so solid-colored blanket it is!
