05Oct2012: A test knit for Heather Dixon, a.k.a armyofknitters/aok!

Eons ago I bought a 1) mohair 2) bouclé 3) variegated yarn. Wut?!

This is the first pattern that I thought could accomodate this crazy stuff. It’s extremely wonderfully soft yarn, but as mad-as-a-knitter puts it: it looks like cookie monster on acid. Well I say, “COOOOOKIE!!!”

I decided cost was no object, and wound 3 skeins of madelinetosh light at once into a huge ball for the cable. I just wouldn’t accept any other color combo. Very flexible am I. I like it, it was a good choice, albeit budget smashing.

Please be aware that row gauge is very important for the length of sleeves and width of body. If you have too few rows per inch, I would remove repeats from the lower sleeves, and the body under the neck opening.
