Notes

I answered an ad on Craigslist looking for someone to knit them a sweater. Met the customer in a coffee shop. She showed me a lovely angora sweater with garter finishes on the bottom hem and sleeves, and a turtleneck.

She mailed me a pattern along with the yarn and I began in January. The pattern didn’t match the yarn weight, nor the style she showed me in the coffee shop, so I went with my memory and used bits and pieces of various other patterns in order to complete this.

She wanted the whole thing done in stockinette, (or at least that is what the pattern she gave me called for). After knitting the front & back of the sweater with the dark navy yarn, I was going crazy with boredom and decided to put a simple cable running up both sleeves.

I’m glad I finished it when I did, because the weather is turning warm and it’s getting far too hot to be knitting with alpaca! I think the sweater turned out really nice, and I hope she likes it.
