Project complete. It came out much smaller than I thought it would be, it kind of floats forlornly in the center of their dining table. Looks great on a side table though.

My filet crochet always seems to come out weird. It’s always much wider horizontally than it is vertically. I think in the future I will use treble crochets instead of doubles to get the height needed in patterns.

I’m about to embark on a new doily for my brother and sister-in-law’s dining table. The picture to the left is my progress so far. You can click on it for a larger image. It’s called Petite Pineapples and the pattern is from Flower Garden Pineapple Doilies from Annie’s Attic.
