The yarn is a Korean “scrubby” yarn, and I have no idea what it is called because I can neither read nor speak Korean. ^^;;;

I rated this pattern as mid-range easy due to the techniques used and would be much easier if not using this particular yarn (would give it the same difficulty rating, the yarn makes it difficult to see where stitches are at times is all).
