I tried a 0 needle at first but that was too tight. The mitten was going to be really small. It might have fit a one year old but not the 5-7yo that the pattern says. The size 2 needle was just right.

These mittens are so cute! And I think I have enough yarn to make the next pair. They will be Selbustrikk pattern #9, Barnevott (child’s mitten) to fit a 7-9yo.
