This is a seamless, round-yoke, worsted weight pullover. I changed the neckline to a crew neck. I think this will become a favorite sweater.
11/22/10 made a good start on the ribbing
11/24/10 posted a photo of the bottom band. The yarn is such a dark teal that I had to use flash to even get it to show the stitch detail. The color in the picture is a lot lighter than the yarn.
11/26/10 It fits! Amazing what I can get done while visiting with the kids after Thanksgiving dinner! It is 11 inches now. I think I want about 19” to the underarms. Only 8” to go!
11/28/10 Body is knit to 19”. Next come the sleeves.
12/16/10 Sweater was knitted up to the neck but I found that the neckline was going to be too high on me so I ripped and will start the yoke decreases just above the stranded border. The tan sweater fits me beautifully. This sweater needs to decrease sooner and end a bit short of what I have here.
12/17/10 Need to give DH some photography lessons! You get the idea though, I hope. I am very happy with the fit now. I started the decreases in the second main color row past the stranded section. The back neck still seems a bit low so I will add 2 more short rows just across the back before doing the collar.
12/19/10 Knit to the top of the ribbing and bound off. It fits now but I think I will like it more with a crew neckline so … on to take 3.
12/19/10 I ripped and reknit the collar. Didn’t quite get it all bound off but I tried it on before quitting for the night and it is going to fit beautifully. Pictures later.
12/20/10 Finished! I changed the neckline to a crew because that is more comfortable for me. I like to wear a turtleneck under it anyway. This is a really comfortable sweater.
