I started with a larger needle at the bottom because I wanted the cowl to spread out and lay over the shoulders a bit. It fits great but I wish I had gone ahead and added an additional section of the lace as the pattern suggested.

The Mini Mochi splits a bit so that slowed me down when I was doing the lace sections but it is so soft and beautiful that it was worth it!
