9-4-10: This just in. Never, NEVER, try to knit a pattern while in the throes of an illness. I’ve just gotten to within 10 rows of complete and had to frog to the beginning. Apparently my eyes failed to notice during my knitting that, with the yarns I was using, this hat was going to fit Madame Maxime rather than the 13-yo girl it was intended for. I’ve recast on subtracting 2 pattern repeats, modified the increases/decreases accordingly, and am getting tucked back in.
