Very, very well-written pattern. Rad colorways. My boyfriend thinks I’ve lost my mind.

Mods:

• Following Sherry-h’s great mods on her Katie 2. Most notably: colorwork on the top, rather than on the hip-accentuating bottom. Started the first line of the colorwork with five rows remaining before the sleeve separation, so the separation would happen on row five of the chart, a plain row. If I had it to do over again, I would have shot for 7 rows remaining as the colorwork sits a little low.
• Also followed her mod and decreased before the neck ribbing. (K4, k2tog)
• Tubular bind off at the neck
• To account for my long torso, I added three inches before beginning the waist decreases. This is a divergence from my usual habit of adding them at the narrowest part of the waist, and it fits beautifully. Further proof I’m built like a quarterback.
• Note: This yarn, she grows a few inches!
