Ok so I knit the center square of this blanket years ago, with no baby in particular in mind. I think I knit it just to practice cabling. It was made out of some yarn I got from Michael’s but the label is long gone. It is machine washable, though! Anwyay, I thought it would be perfect for Julie’s second son’s blanket! It just needed a border. So, at Make One I saw this lovely pale green cotton/acrylic blend and decided to dip my toe into crochet and do a nice border!

I am quite chuffed with how it turned out! I did an establishing row just to make the edge clean, then two rows of double crochet and two rows of single crochet.

I have enough yarn leftover to make a matching hat!
