I have no garden. There is not enough time left to care for one, I just have to look at my sadly neglected balcony…
Of course I would like to be a gardener…

I do love this yarn. I never knitted with anything like this.

21/10/10: fronts and back knitted together (seamless knit).

17,0 cm = 53 g

35,5 cm = 98 g

37,5 cm = 102 g: Fronts and back (and ribbing of course) all done (up to the armholes).

04/10/10: I washed my project to see how the larger piece behaves when washed. It doesn’t stretch much and keeps it’s shape very well.
But now I think I calculated with wrong numbers, or I stretched my swatch too much while measuring. With #3 needles it doesn’t knit up to 25 st every 10 cm, but to 26 - 26,5. I wanted an no-ease-garment. Now it is a little bit more fitted. I don’t mind. And blocking will help.

11/11/10 First sleeve done… = 33 g
Second sleeve done = 33 g

weight so far (total): 168 g

29/01/11:
Finally finished!
I’m quite satisfied, I guess.
The sleeves are a little tight, I should have made them wider. There are one or two things I’m not too fond of, but overall I think I produced a good garment.
And I learned a lot!

Total weight: 203 g
And this wool is so beautiful….

11/2011:
One of my best knits, I wear this cardigan very often. The yarn is quite luxurious, with contents of silk and mohair and merino. All three fibers may pill or felt. And indeed there are areas (armpits) where the fabric is felted from wear. But only there. The rest is still very beautiful! I would not have predicted this, if somebody had asked me some months ago.
