Well, I will make another one! And the next time it will get even bigger.
I did 165 pattern repeats for the outer lace border, following Liz Christine’s advice.

I picked up one stitch for every two rows for the upper border (=a total of 140 sts). The next row I added one st every 7 stiches. Then I continued following the instructions.

Nothing flipped over!
