Re-used the yarn from my Bremsspur-Raglan and even frogged the first start when I found out that the gauge indeed is different from the sweater I frogged before -the wool obviously is streched and knits up much loser than before.
I switched to 3,5 mm needles for the ribbing and the sleeves and knitted the sleeves in the round. I really love the fit - no pumpkin-cozy at all this time!
The only not so perfect seems seem to be the armholes which could be a little tighter - at least it looks so after I knitted the first sleeve up to the ellbow so far. I am also not totally sure about the colour, I thought about dyeing the ready sweater, but am a little reluctant - I do not want to ruin the whole thing… Yarn is very nice to knit with!
June 27th: YEAH! FINISHED!
I had a shock moment after it came out of the washing machine (yeah, ok, I COULD of course have washed my swatch - I did not….) and seemed to be a lot wider than before…
It fortunately is not really. Nevertheless it could be a little tighter above the ribbing, but I can live with it.
I knit the sleeves in the round using magic loop, and I did not do any increases after the sleeve ribbing as I thought this would be too wide than.
Like it a lot, but still think about the colour - maybe I will try to dye it in a darker color later as I think the white is making me a little pale. On the other hand it is a very neutral color - maybe I will go for just another version in a different colour.
I AM REALLY THRILLED ABOUT THIS!
