Jan 1st:
Casted this one on and already now I am worried if I will meet the deadline - seems like an awful lot of knitting in just 4 weeks... I intend to combine the EZ-pattern with Sally Melville’s “Vest of many choices”, maybe some I-cord edgings.. we’ll see!
Jan 5th:
Reached 40 cm heights and decreased 4 stitches on each side for the armwholes; I calculated that I will need to knit app. 1 hour per day to finish in time, but I am currently a little ahead, as I still do not need to go to work…

I meanwhile finished the back and have reached the just below the armhole section for the first front - looks like I will not have a problem finishing it in time…

Wow, this is really motivating to read how far you can get within a week - I meanwhile have finished the first front and I am knitting at the “just below the armhole section” of the second front- and this although I really only knitted app. 1 hour per day which equals app. 30 rows - I will for sure finish this in time, maybe already next week, at least for the knitting part of it - let’s see with finishing…, i.e. sewing the sides and adding I-cord edgings…

Finished the knitting - wow, quicker than I thought. I still have to do the sewing - well, luckily it is not a lot and after that I have to do the edgings. Waited for the weekend with sewing, as I prefer doing it at daylight. I hope I will be able to make some new WIP photos as well

Sewing - well, this was ok, only two sides to be sewn. I also added an i-cord edging to one armhole and one side of the front (the one I will not use buttons for), still one armhole and one front to be done, incl. loops for buttons, and ends to be weaved in. Will have to do that at least end of this week, as the birthday party is the week after.
Tada: Feb. 2nd
Finished! I ripped back the Icord edging on the fronts as it was too tight, but like the buttons I used - hope my mum will like it as well!
Special thanks to the WIP group for cheerleading!
