This was a “heavy birth” (“schwere Geburt” in German) - it took me ages to decide what to knit next. I wanted a cardigan, seamless, with not so much picking up of stitches and some drape in the fronts, not too boring to knit and not to much concentration - I hope this will fit the bill!
I have only 3 balls of the yarn in this colour, so I will probably make the version with shorter points.

Cast on: 70 stitches to get app. 29 cm
September 10, 2019
Finished first two purl ridges and two sets of the lace pattern. My yarn is really slippery, so I think I will have to invest in wooden needle tips for my looooongest cable…
Currently I am still knitting with two circulars, but I totally do not like that, I keep knitting with the wrong needle and have to knit back.
Found some co-knitters in the Rubator-Group », so I will not have to knit this alone, but have some cheerleading and motivation there - yeah!

Finished the 3dpurl ridge and eylet row
September 14, 2019
Finished 5th purl ridge (i.e. pattern repeat) today.
If I calculated correctly, I should have enough sleeve stitches to seperate the sleeves after the 6th repeat.
Still quite fun so far, nevertheless I ordered a wooden needle for this slippery bamboo yarn.
I normally prefer metal needles, but this is really slippery and also quite thin.
The holes at the increases are better now, the mainly resulted from stretching the fabric a bit when knitting in the round on the small diametre
Calculations for finishing
So, the goal is to finish this by Nov. 30 at the latest.
I started on Sep. 9th, so I have a total of 82 days to finish it. I have 300 g of yarn, so I should use 25 g of yarn per week to be finished in time.
I am not sure if I will really do the weighing thing, but I think it might be motivating once the rows get veeeeerrryyyy long after seperating for the arms, so weighing might be a good idea…

Have app. 15 g of my first ball left, which means I knitted 85 g in one week. If I continue in this rate, I would be able to finish this in 3 weeks and a bit, but If I get it done in 4 weeks, that would be just great - we will see!
Switched to 1 needle after fiddeling around with the two circulars for some time -my wooden long needle did not arrive yet, but the 80 cm will do for a while I hope…
I am about to start my 8th purl ridge
September 18, 2019
Finished 1st ball in the second purl row oft the 9th purl ridge
September 21, 2019
Marked middle 50 stitches as inKejes notes »which I will copy here so I do not have to switch to her project constantly)

Added some short rows in the back:
After the 1st purl ridge of the 13th repeat, I added a full 10 rows in the back in short rows, and again after the 3d purl ridge - again 10 short rows only in the back part.
I have used up the second 100g ball up to 27.8 g now.
September 23, 2019
Finshed 2nd ball of yarn, still have one set of “back holes” to do and plan to add another 10 rows after that before starting the bottom band.
Currently I am not planning on doing the Icord, but use my trusty crochet cast off at least for the purl ribbing collar.
