Wanted a head to go with my baby surprise jacket, so I decided to knit this very popular baby hat for the first time.

Got to shortly after the increase section with the remnants of the first ball, added the second ball after that which has similair colors than the first (just a white instead of the light blue), and slightly different patterning.

I am not the biggest fan of casting on more than 100 stitches, but it worked out ok, I think. Worked the garter part in rows to omit purling for garter in the round.

Really like the look so far - will probably add crocheted ties instead of Icords, way quicker for me. I read that those should not be longer than 21 cm, so this is what I did.
