Wanted a Sockyarn cardigan in a neutral colour for ages. Originally thought about contiguous, but I quite like the shawl collar and the garter stitch yoke of this one, so I will stick to this Raglan pattern. At the moment, I do not plan to do stripes, but just vertical bands with garter stitch and slipped stitched down the fronts and in the middle of the back - we will see. I am shortly before separating the arms now.
ETA Dec. 8th:
Knitted app. 42 cms from top - looong rows with smaaaall needles - but OK for TV knitting. And I like the coloured bits in the yarn.
Dec. 17th
Finished knitting of body, did up to app. 57 cm length unblocked. Started sleeve with 92 stitches, will decrease every 8th row until I have 80 stitches (i.e. 6 times), then every 8 cm as given in pattern up to the final count of size L - at least that is the plan, currently
Dec. 23d
Finished first sleeve, did 44cm after end of garter stitch yoke and before starting the cuff
Dec. 26th
Finished second sleeve, picked up stitches for button bands (took me the full “3 Nüsse für Aschenbrödel”!) and knitted as given, but did 6 garter ridges instead of 4 before adding the buttonholes, started Icord bind off in the evening - button band takes quite loooong, I knitted the whole 2nd day of christmas, nearly whithout interuption!
Dec. 27th
Hm. Finished. But not sure I like the result - the border/collar could be deeper/longer, should have worked more garter ridges. And yarn seems to be quite fluffy after washing -not sure I like this… Well, it drys currently, we will see.

After blocking, it looks ok - and it is not so tight as the button band suggests - no idea why it is so wobbly when closed. I think I quite like it, length of arms and total is fine, also is width. However, my row gauge was off - I knitted longer before seperating the arms, I should have knitted the button band wider as well. In addition, I should have done wraps for the short rows in the collar. Well, might be I do another one with stripes, but then make the collar wider…
