Part of my resolutions for 6 in 2019 is to knit this pattern. Another resolution is to use the rest of my Woll Butt Stash and older stash in general. So why not combine the two and knit a sweater from my Woll Butt yarn and other sockyarn that is in my stash for quite a while…

First wanted to use two skeins of the Woll Butt yarn, but the orange-teal one is too different from the other two, so I decided to go with my precious Opal Hundertwasser in the Blue Moon Colourway.
Will rely on my gauge from recent sockyarn sweaters: 24 stitches in 30 rows for 4 inches/ 10 cm.

Reached app. 12 cm for back. Last my stitchcount when casting on, and so I knitted for the smallest size but wanted to do the third biggest. So I just increased 7 stitches when I found out and I hope I can just wing the fronts - hopefully…. But still about 4 cm straight knitting on the back before I can try that…

Finished left front part.
February 11, 2019
Finished right shoulder part and joined the two front elements.

App. 11 cm into front part from pick-up

Joined front and back and will continue with the Buttinette yarn. It should all be mindless knitting from now on.

Made this my early morning knitting and prioritized knitting on my Read Between the Lines shawl » instead. However, as rounds are quite long, I need 10 minutes for 1 round i.e. I only get about 2 - 3 rounds done each morning - sllooooooow progress…
I am knitting it while listening to “Die Schwestern von Mitford Manor” » as an audiobook - does not totally convince me so far…

Tried it on for the first time - quite content. I was afraid that the armholes might be too tight, but they are fine even now. And I assume this will probably grow when washed.

Bound off body. I was a little concerned as this was curling like crazy, but after heavy use of a flattening iron and a wet cloth it seems to work. Now just the sleeves to do.
Plain stockinette knitting, so I could knit and read on my Kindle at the same time - which is this book currently »

Yarn quantities left for sleeves:
Self-striping yarn: 19 grams
brown yarn: 26 grams
green yarn: 39 grams
March 22, 2019
Finished and washed - photos so far pre blocking and washing. I did not do an Icord at the sleeves, but just knit 4 garter ridges before I bound of.
Have about 5-10 g of yarn of each yarn leftover, i.e. the whole sweater only weighs around 280-290 g - not a lot for a more oversized sweater.
Hope the front grew a bit in washing, it was a little on the short side when last trying it on. I tried to pull it a little further down while it is lying on our outside table to dry.

Took in wear photos - quite like it! Front hem could be about 2-3 cm longer and the sleeves app. 1-2 cm wider at the top, but in general I think I like it.
I am glad that I decided to go for the brown Drops Fabel at the bottom and not for the Opal, less “busy” that way!
