Notes

Three times the charm - 3d try with this yarn and I LOOOVE the pattern-colour match! This is based on EZ’s Pi Shawl, and it will certainly not be my last Pi-variant! The brownish-orange-earthy colours of this yarn remind me of the Bryce Canyon in the US - and it perfectly fits to the beautiful landscape pictures the designer evergreenknits shows in her blog! I am way beyond the increase row after the 16 ripples now, but it seemed to small, so I just go on.

I do the yarnovers and I think it is very meditative to let them go every other row. And so I do not have to use broomstick needles!

To bind off, I used a 6 mm crochet hook and did 1 sc in each live stitch, 2 chains, 1 sc again. Was afraid that it would not be big enough to wear “bib” style, but as I did nearly 40 rows after the fourth increase (21 garter ridges, to be exact), it is - unblocked and unstreched - big enough. It is currently taking a bath and I will only gentle pull it into shape, not block beyond believe, as I quite like the rustic look (which Beate calls “untidy” - well, I like it! ;-))
