Hanne Falkenberg kit number 6:
Blue/Apple green/Turquoise/Turquoise mix
Knit exactly as written - size L
Started hem with 2.5mm, but it is curling up. Will have to find a way to fix this.
The sleeves are knit top-down, using shortrows to shape the sleeve cap. Top-down is my favourite way of knitting, I can try it on and adjust the length. I need a size L in width, but probably a size S in lenght.

It looks like I have way too much fabric at the top of the sleeve. I wonder if it would be possible to knit a flatter top of sleeve by starting the shortrows over more stitches? And knit the sleeve with a smaller needle?

Looking for a better solution to knit the sleeve. I found a very informative article on sleeve shaping in an old Inknitters magazine. If I understand correctly the Falkemberg pattern is for a fitted sleeve. But as my gauge is off, it produces too much fabric and puckers at the top. I am going to try a different needle size, so I need to knit some swatches.

Modifications:
I re-knit the sleeves, using this tutorial. The top of the sleeve is over one third of the stitches. Used the number of stitches for size medium, and used a smaller needle! With these modifications I was able to get a good fitting sleeve for my relative thin arms (comparing to the size L for the body).
I also decreased more for a smaller sleeve in circumference at the wrist.
And I only did 7 bands of the slip stitch pattern, because I ran out of the palest turquoise, and because I have short arms.
To decide how long the sleeve should be, I knit the start of the sleeve bottom up (with the Colorwork). The biggest part of the sleeve was knit top-down. Joined both pieces with the three needle bind-off.
Lots of ends so I used some needle felting to trim down the ends.
In numbers:
- Picked up 106 stitches around the armholes
- Decreased 14 times every second ridge (4 rows)
- Decreased 8 times every 5th ridge (10 rows)

Modelled picture. In retrospect, the fit at the shoulders could be better. The sweater grew a bit after blocking. The sleeves grew too, so I snipped a row, undid 14 ridges and grafted the cuff back onto the sleeve.
