Such a fun project, a little bit of angst… I wanted to find the perfect yarn for it… Since it was for my bro and he actually planned to wear it around, I wanted the colors to be vivid, but not silly (or baby as the pattern originally suggested). The Sheepish colors were just PERFECT, but since it’s a roving yarn, I was afraid it would pill and look worn even before I finished crochet it. But I tightened up the gauge and in the end, it looked very sharp and the colors and texture. Overall, the scarf came out not childish, but quite whimsical. I did a test run and used shopping for last minute presents, and got many compliments and loads of smiles! On Christmas morning, he opened it up as soon as he opened it up. As soon as he opened it up on Christmas morning, he put it on and snapped a picture to show all his ‘followers’… LOL!
