Notes

Like most everyone who has seen it, I just fell in love with Malabrigo Rasta. However, I never really found a pattern I loved for it. But then I found this Japanese Pattern of a convertible hooded cape… Can’t wait to see how the colorway shines in this!

Well since I don’t read Japanese, my first attempt at this cape, didn’t work out so well… But I figured out what I didn’t like and decided to give it another shot working from the bottom up like the caplet I made my mom. So far I’m loving how it’s turning out MUCH better than the previous! YAY! :)

Despite my lack of Japanese skills, I managed to eek out the rest of the pattern and the cape turned out great! I found just the right buttons, big with a frosted rim that just reflects all the colors! Mostly, I just wanted a project to use the Rasta with, I never expected to wear this much. But it actually has been the PERFECT thing to wear when riding my bikes on Chilly mornings/nights! My hands and arm are completely free and my whole body stays warm with limited weight and bulk!
