The most wonderful thing happened on my birthday… The L.A. Yarn crawl! There were all sorts of wonderful events and exclusives… one of them being this great new nylon yarn from Twist to make market bags and other goodies!

Although the nylon yarn was a bit more of a challenge than I expected (It proved to be rather slippery and splitty) I finally managed to tighten up my gauge and keep things in order (especially helpful on the strap)

Also, I was concerned about the short repeats of color coming out muddy. But the open netting you can actually make out the beautiful nuances of the yarn.

Overall, I LOVE MY BAG! I made with the larger needles and used the whole skein so the bag ended up quite big, especially since it is so stretchy. Still, the width of the strap and the relatively small opening keeps it from being unwieldy. I use it as my main ‘shopping’ bag when going to events.
