Notes

I’ve been wanting to make this cowl FOREVER! Originally I was going to use Rowan Lima, but I ended up using it in my new Chevron Sweater. So I ended up going a completely different direction with a kettle dyed wool. Although at first it’s kinda like a bland grey, working it has released the nuances in the dye and an amazing sheen! Can’t wait to finish!

I actually need another project like another skein of new yarn, but I needed a project I can do on a plane (Small) with a wooden needle… this was PERFECT!!! I also had a good amount of time on the plane to mess around with the pattern, so I extended the cables…

Shortly after starting this project, I got bogged down with the holidays, and then we didn’t travel much, and then lame excuses…

Anyway, I finally finished and LOVED the way it turned out! Although now I don’t think I’ll get to wear it for a few months… although it does look awfully cute on Snoopy!

Due to the cables, this project did take up quite a bit more yarn than I expected (Thankfully I bought plenty), but the yarn choice was perfect, it has enough nuance to really make the stitches pop while making it look like one uniform color despite cracking into three skeins. It is also wonderfully soft, without out being too squishy. YAY! wool!
